چکیده

Owing to the rapid developments in the field of remote sensing, it is being used in a wide range of applications. Especially, based on the purpose, the choice has to be made from the different multi-scale images available. Besides, as remote sensing technology includes the work of aerial survey, DEM (Digital Elevation Model) information can also be obtained. So these technologies can provide land information in same spatial, temporal and spectral resolution. Taiwan has unique geological conditions and whenever typhoons occur, heavy rains accompany and cause drastic changes in the hillside. In order to study and understand this change, we integrate remote sensing, aerial survey (including between aviation photographing and LIDAR survey), and global position systems technology, to produce multi-scale environmental spatial information. Further, this study aims to establish a diverse information network, to carry out hillside field disaster investigation and to accomplish landuse change detection tasks. The methodology used herein saves both time and cost and also provides the condition of surface immediately. The research methodology facilitates the analysis of scale and the influence of hillside field disaster.

Developing a Model Based on Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Systems (ANFIS) for Providing the Spatial Distribution Map of Landslide Risk. Case Study: Alborz Province

Landslide is one of these natural hazards which causes a great amount of financial and human damage annually allover the world. Accordingly, identification of areas with landslide threat for implementation of preventive measures in order to confront against the instability of hillsides for reduction of potential threats and related risks is very important. In this research a new method for clas...

Exploratory Construction of Generalisation Rules for Landuse Vector Data Generalisation

Landuse vector data generalisation is to derive a new landuse dataset or map from an initial dataset by removing the minor details. The generalised results should delineate the dominant landuse characteristics of important landuse types in a reduced map space or a theme-specific application. The generalisation process are guided and controlled by a set of generalisation rules serving for the re...

Modelling Spatio-temporal Pattern of Landuse Change Using Multitemporal Remotely Sensed Imagery

Remotely sensed data is the most important data source for environmental change study over the past 40 years. Since large collections of remote sensing imagery have been acquired in a time frame of successive years, it is now possible to study long-term spatio-temporal pattern of environmental change and impacts of human activities. This study seeks an efficient and practical methodology for la...

Application of a Data Mining Model for Landslide Hazard Mapping

This paper deals with landslide hazard and risk analysis using Geographic Information System (GIS) and remote sensing data for Cameron Highland, Malaysia. Landslide locations were identified in the study area from interpretation of aerial photographs and field surveys. Topographical/geological data and satellite images were collected and processed using GIS and image processing tools. There are...
